Stars in their Eyes - Katherine Ann-Marie as Vanessa Carlton 2008

Stars in their Eyes season two- I appeared as Vanessa Carlton playing 'A Thousand Miles'. I would put the video up but I have the DVD and I can't convert the files into one simple file which I can cut up then upload to YouTube. There seems to be an index file and then a bunch of smaller movie files that won't work without it. Any ideas anyone?

Anyway so this was lots of fun, we practiced the whole weekend leading up to it, and the makeup artist spent a whole day on my hair and makeup, the wig was specially cut and dyed for me. You can see the photos they took, and the one of me without the wig for a better look at the awesome job on my makeup. I got a spray tan (lol) so I am a lot darker for TV. It washes you out apparently. Anyway so here's the pics:

Digital Pictures - Extras from B&W Photoshoot

So on the day that I did the black and white photoshoot (See previous post) I also took some digital pics so you can see the colours of the ribbons in my hair. A couple of these photos you'll probably recognize as being my YouTube profile pics for a while. Here are all the originals so you can have a look. I look so young! I painted the music notes on my face for the shoot and the others are taken in my garden. Just for your interest...

I added these pictures because a lovely friend of mine  Laura Aragon did an AMAZING colored pencil sketch of one of my photos: you can view the sketch here.

Archives: Pictures - Darkroom Effects on B&W Pictures

Archives: Pictures - Black and White Photoshoot 2008

Here are the original pictures that I used often as my YouTube pictures, and on my old MySpace page (which is now gone). I did these shoots with my old, ancient film SLR camera. Around my house and garden, a friend of mine originally took the photos of me, and the rest are taken by me. I used Black and White film. As most of you know I studied at an art school back in 2008 (The year of the crazy ribbon videos) called 'Whitecliffe College of Arts & Design' anyway, I did a lot of photography that year and I tried to incorporate my music into my course work! So here are the pics from this photoshoot, I was 18 or 19 at the time. Once the film was processed then I edited the tone and contrast in Adobe Photoshop. Some of these are not edited and still have the black borders from when the negatives were scanned. I like that look ^_^
